Most useless/helpless feeling

It's been quite a week. After nearly a week of a really bad constraint headache and a couple of days of watery eyes, a trip to urgent care, one to the er, and another back to urgent care, I was diagnosed with shingles. Unfortunately, it affected one of my eyes and with my poor eyesight, no contacts and uncomfortable to wear glasses. I've had to rely on my wife (she has been great) to take care of me and drive to doctor's visits. Had to go in last evening for dehydration because I hadn't been able to keep much down. Feel much better today, but still can't open the one eye. Typing this four inches from my face with one eye open.

Those of you who have someone who will selflessly take care of you while taking still beiing mom to a 5 yr old & 3 yr old active boys, remember how blessed you are. I certainly am.

JKing, sorry to hear of your health problems.

You are lucky that LOYL will help you. There's many of those who have no body to help them, and man that is a shame. Try to do what the doc says and take the meds. Bad headaches alone can put down the strongest man. Take it easy and hope you will soon.

Shingles sucks! Sorry to hear that.

Not that it will help you at this point, but they have a shingles vacine. Not anywhere near foolproof (about a 60% efficiency rate in stopping it), but shinglles can be nasty. My wife and I both got the shot after I saw my MIL suffer with it.
