    Departing Japan soon!

Well, LOML and I have 25 years of working in Japan and it has been fun, interesting, worthwhile and rewarding. We have accomplished some things out of the ordinary and enjoyed our time here. It wasn't easy in the beginning as I was 39 when I arrived and started learning this "devil's tongue" as it has been referred to in history. (I am not a linguist either!)

We leave behind some folks that are more than capable of carrying on the work without us. THAT makes us happy. I have always loved this aspect of our work - working ourselves out of a job by training others to do it as well or better than we could. But it will be great to spend more time with the grandchildren!

In less than 12 hours, our internet and cable will be disconnected. (They don't come to do that on weekends )

We leave out Monday morning here and will be back home in N. MS on Monday night.

See you on the other side!

A great sense of accomplishment. Once you get back it will be like a new life (well, different anyway).

25 years! Man, you've seen some change in that time...

Thinking about it no, it was nearly 25 years ago that I made my first trip to Japan.

Congratulations on your work there. Have fun at home.

Welcome back! My wife's aunt and uncle spent 25 years there also, as missionaries. The stories they tell are so looked forward to at the holidays.
