    I never heard the part about government agencies being worried a BD-5 might be used as a warhead platform - that's an interesting tidbit of information... it's certainly easy to understand their concern. The Wikipedia story claims the DoD does use a BD variant as a simulated cruise missile to aim at during training.

    I still have a BD-5 sales booklet / brochure - somewhere in shipment between Japan and the US as I write this. I really took an interest in that. IIRC, the BD-5J was on the cover of Mechanics Illistrated or maybe Popular Mechanics. I don't remember if it was there or where I read about the paranoia of it falling into enemy hands (read easily purchased) at a cheap price for a jet.
