Ah, you guys are just jealous that you can't celebrate Thanksgiving twice like some of us can.

            Thanks Bill!

So far it has been a great weekend with beautiful sunshine and rather warm days. No turkey this year but will have the family over for lunch and double header of football (CFL) on Monday (Thanksgiving Day).

Naw, up here in the great white north, we're just settling down for our celebrations. In fact, I was at one dinner last night( Mums), and going for another one today ( MIL). Tomorrow is my families annual hike to see all the fall colours.

So thanks for wishings us Canadians the holiday best and we will fire one right back to you come November.

I just can't get my wife to agree to celebrate Great White North Thanksgiving, something about having to head back to work without three days of recovery.

Sadly too many people assume Thanksgiving is a USA only holiday.

This is very true, then too, many are surprised that July 4th is not a holiday in other countries, ie: Canada and Mexico.

When I lived in Connecticut, Columbus Day was a holiday so one could celebrate on the right day or have a day of recovery after. My daughter now living in Australia gets to celebrate Thanksgiving three times. When I asked when she celebrated Thanksgiving in Australia she said, "Every morning when I get up and realize I'm not in NYC anymore!" Had to look it up on the internet to find it's in May.
