    Does it go into any more detail? Good one. I have his book, Understanding Wood, and it, too, is a very good book. Think I'll buy this one you have listed.

      Why do you need to buy the book for that? Everything I needed to know, is right there on the cover ??!!?? And I may not even need that small microscope!
