I was impressed when I first saw it. Maybe you'll get a better response than this did.

I musta missed that post,Sorry but it is kinda neat. I would think that they could develop that for fighting boat fires if it could be controlled remotely.

A cool toy for sure. I'm not so sure about practical applications.

Thanks for sharing this link. Definitely a cool gadget.

Fire fighting does seem like a good application, both for boats and buildings near the water. I wonder if it could be powered from a tank truck or hydrant for use in high rise buildings?

Do you have any further information on this? Thanks.

No more info but the more I thought about the Firefighting application the less feasible it became as it would definetly have to be remote control as the heat from a fire and getting a unit like that close enough would be hazardous to operate as well, but hey it was just a thought

Maybe not. I was thinking about a firefighter with a hose - they wear protective gear and often have some difficulty getting to where they really need to be.

With this device, the "waste" is the water - so they could use it to hover over the fire on a tall building, for example, and potentially get more water to where it is needed.

I think you may be on to something here. I'm glad you found the link.

It might could very well be adapted for that use. If it saved lives that would be great. Maybe someone will develop that unit for that very application in the mean time it is pretty cool tho
