    Let me see if I got this right.....

    The guy sells a kit for $150 to convert a typewriter to replace a $35 keyboard. In the process you lose the function keys and calculator pad...

    Makes perfect sense to me!

      Not to mention that you'll need to spend a few hours making the modification - and if you're lucky, you'll end up with a big, heavy monstrosity of a keyboard that is unlikely to work as well as the cheap $10 keyboards that are plentiful. This is one of those things that may be interesting, but extremely impractical.

        You don't get a keyboard that looks like a typewriter, you get a typewriter that talks to your computer, awesome!
