How about "To Kill a Mockingbird"? I'm convinced it is one of the best books of the 20th century and always enjoy rereading it.
So, what book do you suggest?

Here's an idea. My wife downloads eBooks. She's got the ear buds plugged in with her iPod while doing housework and aquarium maintenance. It might be easier on your eyes and leaves you hands free.

We LOVE audio books!! Heck, we take turns reading to each other and we have a raft load of old books on cassettes - no reliable way to play them. Do you buy them on Amazon? Boy, does this open the possibilities but we have to work fast. We leave town tomorrow afternoon for Baltimore.
EDIT: I just did the leg-work and found that Kindle is an e-book and not an audio book. It's still all good though. I posted this edit to let you folks know that I figured it our. I even have a couple of the freebies downloaded. Thanks!Blessings,

What do you play your audio books on? An ipod is just one example, and you might own some other.
Before you buy any audio-books, check out sites that offer free audio books - and many of these are not illegal : the books are in public domain.
Check out http://www.booksshouldbefree.com/
These are slightly tedious, broken into chapters : http://etc.usf.edu/lit2go/
and there are many more to google, but that's a start. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
