    Where Did We Go Today

LOML, our Grand Daughter and I went on a roadtrip. Where did we go and what did we see.

I thought it might be a tomato day parade, but AMGEN was a dead givaway.

          I can't resist a challenge...

So you went to Modesto CA to see the Amgen Bike Race, err Tour.

Yep been following it during the first 4 stages. gets to far away for day trips start today. Sign across the street gave it away. Our 2 son's were involved during the late 80's and early 90's and we spent every weekend racing Greg Lemond lived nearby and the boys would go on Saturday rides with him and his team. We were also involved in the old Coors Classic. We still have my youngest son's 7-11 Junior Team bike. Classic Eddy Merckx with Campy Equipment. My Granddaughter really has gotten into it and has all the good Autographs. Forgot our fast those guys go. See were Landis is up to his old tricks. Dude you got caught face it. The have never proved Lance and some of the other guys cheated.

Nice srpint finish in Modesto! I hope you had fun.

We're going to stage 8, which is to be held in my town. I expect huge crowds.

I did the first four stages with, my youngest son on Sunday, a good friend on Monday and Tuesday and then with LOML and Granddaughter. My oldest son is go the Palmdale to Big Bear Stage on Friday. He works over at China Lake Naval Weapons Center, do what I haven't a clue. But he has Friday off and will see the start and then head for finish area. Back in the day I equipped the CHP Vehicles used in the Coors Classic with all the commuinication Equipment for the California part of the Classic.
