I Am Glad Today Is Over

MyiIn-laws left today to go back to Minnesota for the summer. Now the kids and my wife are out-of-sorts and will be for the next couple days till we get used to not having them here.

Somehow I think you'll recover quicker than the others.

How is your MIL doing? Well enough to travel obviously so that's good.

She is doing very well. Her 3 month testing in April showed no cancer. She will fly back here in July for another set of tests. If those are clean then she won't have to be tested again for another 6 months.

Moderator spot open, due to death from "out-of-sorts" wife, reading the above.

Be careful what your wife reads, LOL.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

            1. She doesn't read this forum.
            2. She knows she is a bit out-of-sorts.
            3. I get myself into a little trouble on purpose now and then. I work hard to make sure she knows I am crazy about her. Plus getting out of trouble is fun.

Now there still might be a death because she is out-of-sorts, but not because she reads the forum.

I've got a couple in-laws at my house I'll gladly send over for ya. I might even pitch in a few dollars. No take backs!

My brother in law is cool, but his wife needs to go. I spent the majority of last evening listening to her cry and carry on. About once a week she'll drink to much and turn into a miserable drunk. I usually high tail it out of there at the first semi-slurred speach, but I had some stuff to finish in my office. Blithering idiot comes to mind... She does clean and cook pretty well though. Be sure to lay some ground rules down first on things she shouldn't move or mess with, I still can't find a lot of my stuff.

I still get along well with my former MIL and her husband--in fact I set them up on their first date! But she has never been a housekeeper or babysitter. And my former FIL was a royal PITA. So I feel I got all the liabilities of the in-laws without any of the benefits...

Better to remain unmarried for awhile!

My fiance's mom is still living but has Alzheimer's and is in a nursing home. I fortunately get along great with all her 7 brothers and sisters, at least the 5 I have met so far. They are a real fun-loving bunch.

I have gotton along well with FIL, alright with MIL, but very happy when SIL and her boyfriend decide to stay at their place.

When we used to have the big Sunday dinners, we were there for hours and I was glad to see the day end. Made going back to work on Mondays less traumatic though!
