things are worth what one person will pay and what the other will sell for. You have made a good trade and he is happy. A lot of people seem to feel bad when they make a good transaction. As long as you have been honest about the machine price is not an issue. Maybe he bought his for $35.00 would you feel bad then.Art

Seeing as he deleted the ad, I'd say it is a done deal.
You know, sometimes people are just ready for a change. Perhaps he never used the shaper, and would appreciate the sander. And perhaps he appreciated that you would use the shaper.
I say it is a win-win.Comment

Don.t know Paul, I used a receipt from a store in Texas and the manager here pm it as they are now a n/s item, So I got 2 of them and was going to sell the 1 when I saw the shaper and worked out a deal on it with the owner. If needed I can post a copy of the receipt when I find it, I know its here somewhere ,now where did I put that d**n thing.Last edited by tommyt654; 03-24-2013, 11:57 AM.Comment

You have to be very careful operating a shaper. When you can afford it look for a power feeder. I don't like operating a shaper without a feeder.

Yup a power feeder would be nice but way too expensive, Thats why I,m electing to modify the fence to adapt 2 featherboards to it as well as use the guide built into the table for a 3rd featherboard as well, Work slowly and with a push stick is the only way I can see to go. Also making several cuts instead of trying to do it all in 1 pass
