    Why does he even bother?

Larry King--why does he bother getting married?

    http://www.people.com/people/article...360969,00.html

He's either on number 7 or 8. The alimony he has to pay must be ginormous; that's probably why he's still working at a time when most sensible people relax, lie on beach chairs and sip pina coladas in Miami.

remember, this is the same guy who brought "Hanoi Jane" on his show just a couple years ago to kick off her return to acting and started off by saying he thought she was right all along and that we should thank her, this from a man who hasn't served anyone in his life beyond his own self interest and promotion, and he's been paid fabulously for it...he's no Cronkite thats for certain.

He's still working on the 'practice makes perfect' theory.

Let's see... I'm asking myself... A succession of hot blonde bimbos, with a new one whenever I need it, or the same old life-sucking hag until I drop dead... Hmmm... That's a tough one...

Give the guy a break. This was his seventh mariage and it lasted 13 years - he is getting better at it. Practise does make perfect. Couple more times and he will actually make it work. He will probably be over 100 by that time but who is counting?

I saw his interview with Willie Nelson last night. What a guy--Willie that is. Still tokes every day, including before shows and before interviews with Larry King. Doesn't look a day over 65 (he's 77).

In fact, I've got a suggestion for Larry--take up pot. It will mellow you out and reduce any crazy thoughts you might have about working toward wife 8.0.

Maybe the guy just likes divorce. I've had two, and you'll never really know the woman 'til you meet her in court.

I recall Robin Williams saying that men should only be allowed to marry a third (and more) times if they surrender a body part. He said that Larry King would be just "a head on a stick."
