    Help!

A colleague was trapped in a small rest room by a faulty lock.

When he was finally discovered, two other workers were able to open the door with some difficulty. The lock was still jammed, so they blocked the door open while a maintenance worker was called.

A bit later, one of the guys noticed the door was closed again. He jiggled the doorknob and a voice from inside called, "Get me out!"

"Don't worry maintenance should be sending somebody."

    "They did," said the voice.

I have no idea, but it wouldn't surprise me.

That is a very funny story. It could be true around here too.

Thirty-five years ago I was sales manager of a small company. My sec.... I mean, my Administrative Assistant asked me to help her get a box of copy paper down from a high shelf in the storage room.

Neither of us noticed that the door hardware was installed backward (it was a new building and the locking button was on the hallway side of the door).

We were locked in and the storage room was at the building. We knocked on the door and called for help until one of our coworkers had to use the lavatory down the hall.

Jan was a very attractive young woman and I caught all kinds of flak for weeks for being a 'dirty old man' (I was 29!).

After that, I made sure that I was never alone with a female anywhere in the building.

LOML and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary this month. I guess I can now tell her my story. (She reads this forum!)

You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...
