When is Adobe going to fix that?

You'd think they were trying to split atoms or something.

Shouldn't be that hard to stop throttling the CPU.

The next version of flash will support hardware video acceleration. That should prevent CPU spikes from flash. They have a beta available that does this.

My iPhone experience has been filled with negative. I am regularly frustrated by what it can't do, and what it does poorly. I am unlikely to buy into another restrictive system like the iPhone. I would rather have a Win7 netbook than an ipad, then I can run the apps I want and I don't have to transition to yet another system.

I love the tablet/Ipad concept but unless the websites I use for information/research change to HTML5 this Ipad does not work for me. My hands-on confirmation of the Ipad's inability to support flash-based video websites became a "hot topic" with other frustrated potential Ipad buyers who overheard my discussion with the Apple store staff. My Ipod touch has the same limitations but its size (big plus) allows stealthy internet surfing. My notebook will suffice for now but I am in the market for a tablet.

FYI: I just found this: "popular websites from news to entertainment industries are formatting their sites to be compatible with the iPad, such as CNN, Reuters, New York Times, Sports Illustrated, TIME, Major League Baseball, The White House and Flickr". If this is true then this tablet will do...........

yes it us true. Apple had a list of web pages that were switching to HTML 5 for the ipad on Friday night and by Saturday the list had grown.

Someone on an aviation forum reported using an iPad for his maps and charts. Now that he has two such devices, he's planning to abandon paper.

Maps in the cockpit, especially when the airplane is small, are a hassle, but not having any maps because the electronic device fails is a much bigger hassle.
