Did you ever have one of those mornings?

Talk about jinxing yourself. I've been on a several month hiatus from riding
my bike and today was too perfect not to ride my bike to work. Before
leaving the house, I off-handedly said to my wife, "It's been a while. Stay
close to the phone. They might have thrown out my stuff in my locker."

I had a nice ride to work (man, I'm out of shape), I get to the locker room
and lo and behold, they cut off my lock and emptied out everything! My
soap, deodorant, extra clothes, my work jeans, my shoes, everything! Luckily
I had packed a towel, shirt, and underwear and rode in with a pair of
shorts over my bike tights so I could at least have some modesty waiting for
my wife to drop off long pants and shoes for me. I was able to shower with
some liquid hand soap I found in the shower area.

I never make it down to the other wing of this office complex where the locker
room is so I'm hoping the management had the courtesy to give people notice
    before doing this.

And to top it all off, the head of our contracting office e-mailed me last night
to meet with her this morning about my contract renewal--I think I'm up for a
promotion. I left work about 2 minutes before her e-mail and I didn't check
e-mail last night. I can't get down to her office because I have my bike
so I have to wait until Monday to hear what the news is all about.

I don't think I believe in karma anymore or maybe karma is actually at work here
but I just don't know why.

I think someone is trying to tell you you should have driven the karma to work...

Yeah but if he drove the karma he might run over his dogma.

I'm going to try to think only good thoughts the rest of the work day. I still
have to ride my bike home.
