    Smart, smarter, and smartest

Went to Office Depot for some CD-RW media.

When I left I noticed they had stapled an ad to my receipt. "Smartest" is $30 more than "Smarter" and doesn't look to include anything additional. I suppose it is true that they don't specify whether it is Smartest for them, or Smartest for me.

Also, I had someone bring us media for reinstalling Office 2003 and had to laugh at the text on the folder: "We can't help people turn information into impact." The honesty is refreshing.

I think it goes without saying that whomever put that ad together did not come from the "smartest" category...

But they'll always snag someone who "isn't as".

Isn't that what they call suggestive advertising? But you're too slick for that.

Hmmm... I wonder if that is supposed to read "We Can Help People Turn Information Into Impact".

I thought all advertising was "suggestive".
