Good set-up, but fake.
You can see the tipping device under the van when it rolls.

The wrecking ball is way too big. The mass of a real ball would have sent the van completely sideways into the building across the street, not let it continue.

A w-ball needs a tether wire to pull it back and forth and control, that is operated from the crane. You can tell by the crane set-up and where the ball came from that it was all set up to swing the ball into the van.

People did not RUN to the van to help.

Two guys can't stop a reall spinning w-ball, especially one that big.

You can see another camera man on the sidewalk facing the van. He actually turns to pan the moving van.

But I did enjoy watching demo outfits try to destroy a Pillsbury grain silo a few years ago.

The first one tried to use explosives to take it down. Didn't really budge.

The next one used a wrecking ball. What would have taken a couple of days took all summer. The silo was made up of fully reinforced concrete. Just tones of rebar running throughout.

The wrecking balls were just bouncing off of it. Eventually, they'd pulverize the concrete and the rebar would be exposed. Then a crew would come in and cut the exposed rebar.

After work I'd sometimes take the kids to DQ and then over to watch the wrecking balls (which ran well into the evenings).
