Coming home from the big woodworking show yesterday, traffic was slow and heavy on the highway. People were jumping in lane to lane and making some pretty dumb moves(IMHO). One guy decided to try and push in front of me but I could see that at the speed I was travelling, we would crunch some metal. I used the horn to warn him and carried on. A few minutes later, when we got out of the congestion and up to speed again, this dufuss suddenly whips in front of me, narrowly missing my front end, then proceedes to go well under speed. I thought, " Ok, point made....your an idiot", and changed lanes to the inside. Butthead changed lanes with me and went even slower. That's when LOML pullout out her cell phone and opened it up so he could see it. Then he hit the gas and ran; but not before a big transport pulled in front of him and cut him off. That's making your own bad karma buddy!

Too bad she did not have a water pistol to pull out and show him. Perhaps he would have pulled over into the big truck.

Was behind a guy in a small VW one day on I-85 in Atlanta. A tractor trialer changed lanes to the left as the VW was in his blind spot in the mirror and almost cut off the VW but did not. The VW went to the right lane and got beside the cab. The driver has his arm out the window signaling the tractor-trailer drive to pull over. Of course he had no intention of doing so.
This went on for several minutes as the tractor trailer continued on. I saw the guy in the VW bend over in the front seat reaching for something in the floor-board. When he found it he placed the machete in his left hand.. pulled dangerously close to the tractor and began atttempting to shred the front tire on the tractor's cab. I backed off and watched this idiot swing at the tire while hanging out of the VW for about 3 more miles before I veered off onto Ga. 316 toward home.
Don't have a conclussion but was the most stupid act I have ever seen on a highway. Good reason to retire... stay off the road and if I need anything just order and let UPS deliver it. The world is permeated with fools.

Somewhere we need to insert a bit of education on hon blowing courtesy. It used to be that a, "beep beep", was the universal sign for a polite "go ahead, watch out, thanks", etc. And, a long blast was the sign for anger. Heck, I almost got my head handed to me on two occassions for a short beep when the light changed and the driver was distracted for more than 10 seconds. Oh yea, what about you being mistaken for the guy blowing *his* horn at the guy in front of you. On the roads today you just have to keep your temper under control. Heck, I make as little eye contact with people as possible!
Blessings,
Chiz

I considered taking his plate number and giving it to the cops along with a complaint but I figure thay have more important things to look after, and this guy will get his one day. LOML and I just laughed it off. He was the one stewing about the whole thing while LOML and I stopped and had a very enjoyable dinner. With any luck, I helped start a lousy weekend for him

Richard, sorry to hear about the "rage" and the traffic. I sure am glad that you guys are OK and did laugh about it! Unfortunately these idiots are around us everywhere.
Almost the same happened to me this morning going to the show (on 401), except in my case, the guy was too busy on the phone to pay attention to my or anybody else (in Ontario it is illegal talking on the phone that is not hands free). Even after warning him, he was still on the phone and his truck waving in and out of his lane! Personally I just try to ignore them and either let them go or drive by them.

VW guy doesn't believe in physics?
If he stuck that machete in the tire at speed it would have ripped it out of his hand and maybe broke his arm/wrist/etc...
