          Never let that witch of a mother in law, near your phone.
          She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

                          Could be a couple of ways. Either laser, which doesn't have to be in the visible spectrum, or just a camera, based in part on Biometric software. (common facial movements for common sounds in x language)
