    Getting rid of a buzz.

Gmail now has something called a buzz.
Kinda like twitter or something similar.
I don't care anything about that type buzz and like some type of buzzes, it bugs me.
I don't see an easy way to get rid of it. It just won't wear off or disappear when I eat. Sleeping it off has no effect either. What might I do to diminish the effects of this?

Oh yeah. It's not like I asked for it either. Probably just from association with Gmail. A contact buzz as it were.

    In Gmail:

Settings->Buzz->"Do Not Show Google Buzz In Gmail"

It is social networking type stuff - think Facebook and/or twitter

Thanks a bunch, David. I called myself looking in the settings for this, but guess I was just too far gone.
      Feeling much better now.

          Hey Lee,

I thought you stopped doing that stuff.

Jeff - Google Buzz. Part of gmail. It is Google's attempt to do social networking. You can post pics, updates, links to videos, etc. Sorta like facebook and/or twitter.

Guess it is a good thing we do not have random Buzz testing for the staff.

Merely changing the settings does not clear one as much as would be believed:

                    http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-...html?tag=mncol

The news in the link was posted before Google decided to apologize and make some changes. Still, it would be good to read this deeper aspect to making changes Google's Buzz.
