Here is a similar but probably cheaper model (4 blade) that can be controlled by the iPhone or iPod touch. Notice how it is controlled.

It looks like the Parrot isn't available quite yet. the web site says prototypes for developers will be available Mar. 15 "Support" for the prototypes will be $1200, exchangeable for a production model when available.

I think you still need to buy a controller (transmitter) as well.
