    That is a very clever photoshop job. I am calling it that rather than it being taper cut that way because the grain pattern doesn't look right.

          No p-shop at all, the one board is on top of the other. It's also shorter.

              Someone help me out. All I've ever seen is one shorter board on top of another. What are all you guys seeing?

                    It is an Escher thing. in the forground the 2 pieces of wood are one on top of the other & the back ground they are next to each other. the foreground right of the top pieces becomes the top of the other pieces in the back ground. The only way that could happen is if there is only one piece of wood, but the end grain indicates that 2 pieces were used to compose the picture.
