    Bad weekend

Hi all, Pittsburgh had a 20"+ snowfall fri-sat, and we were out of power for the weekend. This made for an inconvenient super bowl weekend, but we did make it to my brother's house for the game, and the heat.

Anyway, I snapped a few photos of our experience, and thought I'd share with you all. Here is a link to the flickr set.

Very nice photos. I especially like the b&w ones of the bridge. Here's hoping they get your power restored soon.

While it seems the rest of the nation is getting snow we are having a mostly snowless winter. It has only snowed three times enough for me to need to plow at work. Temps have been in the 30s-40s. Up in the cascades there is only 70% of normal snow pack so farmers will not get full irrigation allotment in this part of the state.

I hope all of our members in the snow zone are able to stay safe during these storms. With time all things will pass and yes the snow will melt.

Perhaps the midwest states should consider shipping some of our snow your way. They are already talking about a possible repeat of the last years floods here.

We've gotten an invitation to a wedding in Iowa City for July 4th weekend. I was thinking we might have to sleep on a raft or in the plane if hotels are taken out again in floods.
