That really was great, thank you! I distinctly remember the song, but not the name of the band at all.
Reminds me of the Dave Clark Five. They came through our town and stopped the tour bus by our local deli to get coffee. One of them threw a done cigarette butt on the floor and stepped on it. He then saw my friends sister standing nearby, picked up the butt and said "I suppose you want this' as he handed it to her. She gave him a look and proceeded to put the butt in his coffee!
