    Can anyone actually read this?

    In my continued attempt to finally stump the fine folks on this most excellent forum....

    I have this cool oil/canvas painting of the Matterhorn, but I have no idea who might have painted it or when.

    Anyone want to take a stab at reading this signature?

                  Some of it actually looks like Japanese katakana, but I can't read it all.
