I have been in more arguments with Japanese professional language teachers over grammar. I can't tell you how many red lines I received and argued over!

I have some brushings that have met with some confusion in Japan. One of them, only 4 characters long, was brought up by a professor friend of mine at Hiroshima U., before his English class, and the opinions were split down the middle about whether it should be read backwards or forwards!
