I was talking with a buddy about the old days and the dances of the times, like the Hully Gully, The Stroll, and the (I hate to say it) Twist.

What have we got today, besides the Texas Two Step? How about some new dances, inspired by woodworkers...like:

The Kickback
The Radial Arm
The Dovetail
The Mortise and Tenon (great for couples)

I like to dance, but I do more style type dancing - swing, blues, a little ballroom. However my favorite is blues. Pretty easy since it isn't syncopated like swing, but more importantly, you are very close in proximity to your partner.

I've perfected the "Dropping the Edge of a 4' by 4' Piece of 3/4" MDF on My Instep" step!

I've perfected the "Dropping the Edge of a 4' by 4' Piece of 3/4" MDF on My Instep" step!

BTDT. I had a full sheet of 1 1/8" particle board slide off the table and land edge wise on my foot. Fortunately I had steel toes. They got the brunt of the impact but so did the top of my foot. Not really that bad as I lived to tell the story.
