Actually, I have seen some of these views many times. I'd probably enjoy it more if someone else was doing the driving, though.

Also very cool is watching airplanes take off and land from San Francisco International Airport while perched above them. On a number of occasions, I've had C-5s pass underneath me on their descent into Travis AFB while flying back to Palo Alto from Lake Tahoe.

I've been to the city, but the aerial view is something else.

Not something you'd treat those out of town guests to at $500 a pop, but certainly something to do once yourself. Beautiful!

I wonder how long that trip took. Anyone have any ideas?

That is fantastic but for that price... No wonder I never even knew about it.

According to their web site, http://www.airshipventures.com/tours.php, they have 1 hour and 2 hour flights (2 hour starts at $950) over SF.

I looked for the street where the sidewalk was steps and on the other side of the hill is China Town. That was back in '87 - time flies!!

I think I'll just enjoy the pictures for now.

Ive seen that site before and this song keeps running through my head:

Meeting you with a view to a kill /
Face to faces, secret places, feel the chill /
                        Night fall covers me /
But you know the plans I'm making

                        David

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.
