    January 9.....

For those of you who have been around for a while know that Black wallnut and I have three wonderful children. Well the youngest one Thomas turns 4 years old on January 9th. He is my little pride and joy. Just today I was on the computer he walked in looked at me gave me a big hug and said "Mommy, I Love You." and then went off to play again.

I can't seem to get the picture I want to put on here to work so maybe I will have Mark do it for me tomorrow. Or maybe i will just post some pics after the small birthday party we are having here.

Enjoy them while they are small they grow up way to fast.

ha finally got it figured out. This was taken in June but it is dad and son getting some cake.

Darn right! It's not that they grow up so fast, but as my mother told me once when I complained the summer was going by slowly, and I wanted to get back to school:

"Enjoy it while you can. When you get older the time goes by a lot faster."

I thought she was nuts. Should have known better. Didn't realize until my 20's how smart she was.

Boy, was she ever right! At my age 1 year seem like 1 day!!!!!

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

Yep, before you know it, they get all grown up and don't need you anymore. At least not as much. My two teen girls still come up and hug me though.

The best days of our lives were when the kids were little. They sure make great memories!

Jan 9th is also special to me as it is my son's 39th birthday and also the birthday of my long gone but not forgotten mother.
