    Stupid UPS

I ordered a print server this week. It got to the local depot on the 30th 2 days from PA to NC. Scheduled delivery is it has be delivered by the 5th and by golly UPS is apparently gonna take all the time they can. It is still at the depot.

I'm sure if I call them UPS will say that their contract allows them to take until the 5th to deliver it, so that is what they will do. I've had this situation before and that is what they told me. I think they have a metric for # of packages delivered on time, and not necessarily how fast they get delivered. I can usually get FedEx to deliver early. At least it is better than when I had my apartment - then I couldn't get packages delivered at all. UPS never bothered to try so for a while I never got anything shipped UPS.

I have tried with UPS and they said they have to attempt delivery once before you can go a pick it up. Sorry to hear it, I know the feeling

Some items they just leave, others need signing. Maybe a pre-arrangement to pick up is possible.

My son in law is a supervisor for UPS in the Chicago area. I doubt they ever have customers who are not satisfied (yeah, right).
