    Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Yesterday, my wife and I went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra perform in Hamilton, Ontario. It was a great concert with the music and effects. I put together a little slide show.

Nice slide show and the pictures are nice and sharp. What camera and what settings did you use. For me they would have come out dark or blurred.

Thanks for the kind words Bill. I have a Canon Rebel XSI with a 75-300mm lens. The ISO was set on 800 to 1600 depending on the shot. Most of the pictures have been over exposed by 1/3 of an F-stop. I was back too far to even worry about a flash so I let the auto shutter setting take over. I take a slight breath out as I hit the release as the shutter speed was really too slow on most of the shots to be hand held. Lots of practice to steady myself comes in handy for these pictures.

Nice slideshow. I am surprised you were able to bring the camera in. Every concert I've been too (admittedly only 8 or 10) they searched for cameras, video cameras, etc.

They had the no video camera deal but all they said about still camera's was no professional camera's. I was waiting for the argument to ensure since I have a DSLR and a long lens but there were plenty of people with similar cameras. Thanks for compliment David. It's always possible to get some nice pictures when you take loads. That's why I love digital so much.
