    Season's Greetings!

Years ago when the Season's Greetings stuff first started I had a friend who decided to be very PC. It was a pain, so the rest of us used Season's Greetings to always greet him. He said it got old real fast and by the next Christmas he was wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. I think the fruitcake and Season's Greetings cards on his birthday pushed him over the edge,

I like it! I also read the commentary but I understood the cartoon. I guess that is because I've spent the past week picking up the same card the for whatever reason keeps falling out of our card holder in the hall. I finally just taped it to another card.

We made it a point this year to wish others a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Why because that what the 2 holidays are. When clerks in the store wished us Happy Holidays, we replied with Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and got a positive reaction. One young lady at Toys R US smiled and said thank you after we replied to her Happy Holiday. We know she was doing what she was told.

The way I see it; Happy Holiday's are a term for ALL the days you get paid for NOT working! But, there is only ONE Merry Christmas/Happy New Year! And to all out there; a belated Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! So there.

LOML was told one year to say Happy Holidays when she answered the phone. It bothered her so much, that she told her boss that she did not agree with it and that she would either have to say Merry Christmas or just answer the phone as normal. She answered the phone as normal. In our area, 99% or more would not be offended. Of the one percent remaining, most of them, if you gave them a new car, would complain about the color.
