    Luck! I have it not.

Well the first snow storm here in the Detroit area worthy of getting the snow thrower out is here. I spent 40 minutes flipping the scraper blade on my older yardman single stage 2 stroke snow thrower. Went to start it and it promptly threw the rod through the side of the motor. The only luck involved was that I only paid $50 for it plus a new scrapper blade so I'm not out a lot and I got 2 winters out of it. No cash till tax return time for a new one so it looks like it's a snow shovel winter for me.

Sounds like it was a run of luck, just not good luck.
You could probably confirm it with a broken snow shovel handle.

I'm hoping that's not the case.
