Using A Wireless Router As WAP?

So I have need of using the old wireless router as a WAP. That is to say I would like to have it in the basement and have a non-wireless print server plugged into it and have it serve as a WAP on my existing wireless network. Can I do this? I know I can cascade it with another router and have it provide wireless for a non-wireless router.

Should work, I used an Airport Express to stream some music and I know it can also be used as a print server.

Thanks sparky. It would be nice if I could run DD-WRT on both but it is not available for the old router yet. I already flashed the available firmware from Netgear on the old one and tried using your link but it didn't work. A lot of the settings available in DD-WRT aren't available on the stock Netgear firmware. Oh well.

Thanks for the tip, Sparky. I ordered the print server. It solves some problems. My FIL likes that now with it he can put the printer anywhere he wants since it will be connected to the print server.
