Non Lethal Self Def. from HD & Lowes

As employment and economy tank and crime rises every car should be equipped with a non lethal self defense delivery system.

Forget Pepper Spray, there's something more easily obtained at HD, Lowes, or many other home and garden centers that's cheaper and has a much greater range.

How much greater? How's 15' + sound? It's also not as specific as Pepper Spray.

Go buy a can of Wasp Spray. The range/trajectory is awesome !

I've had wasp spray sprayed on me (by friend while we were fighting a nest) and it won't stop someone that is going to attack you.

Absolutely use chemical mace or very strong pepper spray. They have some types now that will disperse a group.

I did get pretty good over the summer nailing the wasps that invaded my shop. I could pick them off on the wing—they went down just like Snoopy's Sopwith Camel. However, unless the assailant is of the genus Polistes, (giant mutant wasps from the planet Zondar?? ) I doubt that the spray will help.

Maybe a lit match in front of the nozzle will add effectiveness.
Personally, I prefer my lead spraying device for self protection.

Wasp spray didn't do that much to me either. I got tagged by my brother who missed the nest just as I came around the corner.

Kimber makes these for nonlethal self defense http://www.kimberamerica.com/products/less-lethal/

No matter what you choose for defense....please practice with it, and get some real training. When the goblins come knocking, thats not the time to get out the instructions and figgure out how to work your life saving instrument.

I'm with some of the others here that favor lead as my preferred projectile, but everyone needs some sort of defense tool to fall back on. 911 is good and all, but the response will seldom be quick enough to help prevent bad things from happening.
