    I can get mine to easily slip off of the other end of what ever I'm trying to measure if the other end is out of reach.

        That video looks a little fishy to me. It's either not a tape measure, or the video was doctored somehow. Either way, it looked professionally done, not by some guys goofing around a construction site.

            I have a tussle getting a bead on any lengthy horizontal distance, even with a wide tape (even those claiming to have a 12' stand-out capability...), because it always collapses into a heap... The upside is that I'm always able to know the exact distance from the top of my ladder to the floor...

            Do they make Viagra for tape rules?
