The Great Christmas Tree Light Shortage of 2009

I went to 8 different retail stores today (the usual suspects) and found almost no indoor christmas tree lights.

    I wonder what is up?

I dunno. Didn't notice anything when I was at Lowes the other day. They had plenty of lights.

Plenty of lights here. They've been on display since Halloween.

When my wife and I went the Saturday after Thanksgiving we were lucky to get what we needed at Menards.

Last night a quick stop at Walmart to try to find one last string to finish what I'm calling Phase 2 and no luck.

If you're desperate try Walgreens, theirs are some even crappier off-brand, but they have them in stock at most stores.

I think the retailers are stocking less this year.
