      You seem to be well informed about the Aikido world. Are you familiar with Koichi Barrish at the Tsubaki Grand Shrine in Granite Falls, Washington? I had an interview with him back in September (I know nothing about Aikido, but we're doing some research on Shinto shrines overseas). The shrine began as (and continues to be) an Aikido dojo.

        Yes, I am quite familiar with him... He's a widely respected aikido instructor. The religious component puts some people off, but he's not difficult about it.

              It's pretty common for M/A to have a religious and/or way of life component...at least the ones I'm familiar with.
