Had the same problem this weekend with caramel corn. Made two batches and BOTH of them ended up with the in-laws.

    Life just ain't fair sometimes.

Be helpful. Pull out the serving tray and nicely cut out and arrange the brownies on the tray. If a couple need to be left off for the most visually pleasing display, well, you know what to do...

That is brilliant! Too late, the brownies left this morning, but brilliant!

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

I was once listening to a conversation between three women. One of them said, "I always frost the cake as soon as it cools. That way I can't sneak any w/o leaving obvious signs."

The other two (sisters) said, "oh, that isn't true. If it is a two-layer cake, you can use a thin wire to slice a piece off the bottom. Use the rim of the platter to guide the wire, and you'll get a nice 1/2" to 3/4" thick slice. Move the rest of the cake onto a new platter and nobody will be able to tell."

          Those sisters were problem solvers.
