    I can't beleive it.

To all those who started camping out last night in front of WalMart, BestBuy and some of the other stores for Black Friday. Get a life, go home and be with your famlies. There are only 2 of what you want and they will be gone when you get there.

To everyone else have a Great Thanksgiving with your family and friends. To those who serve and protect us. Thanks!

I went into a Best Buy or one of those type stores on Black Friday once on the way to work. NEVER will I do that again!

I hate shopping during the holiday season because of all the crowds. I never have been on black friday. I sorta think about going every year, but never can make my self get up. Besides, we already have my parents, the kids and most of what we want for each other already done. I loves me some internet shopping.
Awww forget trying to fix it!!!! Lets just drink beer

I've picked up some decent deals on tools - drill drivers, screwdriver sets, and the like. But I'm a big fan of Internet shopping myself.

I thought I was going to have to go stand in line, for one of the bosses. He was looking at getting the newer front loader washer and dryer's, until I explained the pedestal, means he needs to cut a hole in the wall and raise the duct work.

I stood in line ONCE, as it was an attempt (I knew it) to see what my odds were on getting my Christmas present.

Now, talk about a bad time. I am on my own for Thanksgiving and picked up some stuff (sunday and monday), and this morning found my Fridge dead, kaput. Tomorrow I get to clean it out, and figure out where to haul a dead one, then wait at least a week for some of the holiday shopping to slow down. I guess I shouldn't B@#ch too much, since it came with the house, and grandma purchased it in 1960.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

I've been shopping on Black Friday a few times, but not to stand in line and score deals. Mostly I went to spend time with relatives I don't see that often.

A pain in the butt for sure, but one that will quickly pay for itself on your electricity bill when you retire the 50 year old beast.

I have a ~30 year old 2nd fridge that normally is just a (unplugged) beverage holder, but which we plug in for a few days at a time when we're having a shindig that requires more fridge/freezer space. It's smaller than our normal fridge but uses almost 2.5x as much electric when it's at temperature as our 6-7 year old model.

Some stores here are open at midnight, some around 4 AM. A lot of lost leader stuff. Stand in line...not me. I'm not a believer in hurry up and wait.

One of the Big name stores is opening at 10pm tonight. I feel sorry for the employees, what a way to wreck a good day. At 10pm tonight I will probably be snacking on a piece of Turkey and trying to stay awake for the news. See where the Dallas Cowboys got a Turkey to feast on this afternoon.
                      Have a great day everyone

We did the Black Friday thing a couple years ago. It wasn't all that bad as the wife and I just chatted the time away with our boys. They're actually young men now but we still think of them as the boys. We did get such a good price on a 50" tv closeout deal that we got 2 and have one in the bedroom now. Sitting in bed to watch a movie on that screen is even better than the lazy boy sometimes.

I live on the outskirts of a big city, in an area that is still pretty country. We have all of the big chain stores but the crowds aren't huge and the people are friendly. Because every register in the store is open it doesn't take too long to check out on BF.

Last year I went to Sears soon after it opened and bought some tools, then got to Lowes before they opened and picked up the rest of the stuff I wanted. I got home before sunrise. I think shopping on BF morning is faster and easier than shopping on a normal day.

This year I haven't found much in the BF ads that I want. I ordered a new TV for the garage online because with Bing Cashback it was cheaper to order online today than any BF price.
