    Guaranteed for life?

On page 4 of the November Rockler catalog is an entry for a nice looking set of German made screwdrivers. The last two lines of the ad caught my attention.
"Guaranteed for life. While quantities last."

I would assume that means that life is a finite quantity.

      "Guaranteed for life"

Maybe that means in order to have life you need one.

You might think that means they're good till you die; not so fast, Bunky!
It probably means guaranteed for the life of the tool. When it dies, it's life, and that lifetime guarantee, is toast!
You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.

          Guarantees

That one is funny, but I also worry about the 10 year granite top warranty from Steel City since it looks like that company is in serious trouble or is unable to answer emails. Maybe "life" also means life of a company.

Exactly. It works until it doesn't.

Reminds me of the line from Tommy Boy about the guarantee printed on the box.
