    Like, what's like up with, like, the word "like"? I like though it was like just like a phase in like the 80's, but like even now on the local like college campus -- like even like this week -- it's like seriously, like, ubiquitous! ...like.

    ...and "finger quotes" bug me, too. Like, yeah.

    Finger quotes are one of those things that like makes me just want to like slap someone up side of the head.

      Then try "gagging them with a spoon".
      She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

          Well, um, the one thing, um, that bothers me is, um, when people can't ,um, get through a sentance with out a lot of "um's".

            OMG, I really hate that! OMG!

            Perhaps we should start something new like 'spectacular'.
            To be used whenever somebody does something incredibly stupid.

                        "Gonna" is my current peave. It's bad enough when everyday people say it, although I'm sure it makes my mother roll over in her grave. But when radio or tv professionals say it I flip out.

                          Back in my college days, a literature professor would use "y'know" several times in every sentence. He struck me as a frustrated author, and after hearing him speak, I understood why.
