Hallelujah, LOML dodged a very scary bullet

    <happy rant>
Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition, SWMBO and I went down to see her female Doc yesterday to discuss a battery of tests that she had run due to some swelling and odd female issues.

Needless to say, the ever helpful internet gave us 2 possibilities with the symptoms she was having

    1. Ovarian Cancer, this scared the shiat out of me...
    2. Ovarian Cyst, while this doesn't scare me, I'm not meh about it ether

so, after the last test, (2 weeks ago) her doc was unavailable for a consultation, so all we got was a nurses call back, saying we should come back in 4 weeks (nov 6th) for another scan, and then they would see... We didn't want to talk to a nurse, we wanted some face time with a Doc, and a specific doc at that

well it turns out that during our scheduled appointment time, our doc was having some scans of his own at the ER. He had worked up a really nasty case of kidney stones, and in his own words "was stoned off his arse on a gurney down the hall" ... and he apologized profusely about not being available to talk to us.

So here is what we found out, she has a 6cm diameter Simple ovarian cyst, that should start to resolve itself now that she is on medicine for it, and if in 2 weeks it is not any smaller on the scan, we will get to have another trip to an OR for some additional holes in my wifes abdomen.

Gals... yall are sure expensive, but worth every penny

I am just so happy that SWMBO and I don't have to face ovarian cancer

    That's great news!

Women are all about maintenance. In BT3K terms, they're always trying to drop a shim.

I'm very happy for you and your wife.

I am happy for you too. Glad to hear it is not more serious.

Happy for you and your LOYL!

My wife had one of those mystery things about 27 years ago, and it scared the $%*# out of us. But let the med do their thing and your wife will get better.

          Man! that was scary!
I'm happy for you and your wife that is not something more serious
Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! -Rocky Balboa-

              That is great news...

BTW...Kidney Stones (if you have never had them) are not fun nor are they enjoyable. Been there and done that. Not really wanting to repeat either. Actually know a few females that have had them and they say that they would go thru giving birth with no pain anesthetic rather than have kidney stones again. Your Doc was not lying.
It's all good till it's no good any more.

Good on ya! Medical stuff is so scary because we really don't know much about it. It can really make you feel helpless when something happens. Great outcome, excellent!

That's why docs love the internet. You look things up, get scared to death, and come in quicker!
