    DCX File Problem

Having a bad time trying to open a DCX file (email). Is there a trick?

It looks like there are several programs that use files with a dcx extension.

Is this supposed to be a raster image? (photo, scan, fax)

It's supposed to be just a document.

Hmm, might try saving the file to your harddrive and renaming the extension to .docx

The DCX file extension is sometimes used to transmit multi-page faxes. If this is what you think this attachment is, then download a copy of the excellent (and FREE) IrfanView. HTH

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried saving it to the HD and can't get anything to open it. A window tries to configure Acrobat 7 and fails. I'm sure it's all text, and tried Word, but error says the file wasn't coded (from email).
