    Aloha...

...to our forum friends in Hawaii. My wife and I staying on the Big Island this week, Kona area, and loving it. We're going to the Woodworker's exhibit in Hilo tomorrow, to see the featured work with native woods, so if I find anything cool or fun, I'll photograph and post here.

Cool, Bill. I'm sure you'll have a great time. I've been to the islands quite a few times and never had a bad experience.

IIRC, we have forum member from the Hilo area.

Some people have all the fun. I'm sure you'll enjoy it tomorrow.

Sounds like a great time. I was in Honolulu and Hilo in September--on work, unfortunately, but I did have time to barely dip my toes in the waters of Waikiki.

Norm, all my photos have suddenly become mediocre. That is one stunning photo.

              ALERT: Many Pictures!

Thanks for all the well-wishes, guys.

The week spent in Kona was, well - awesome! It was painful to get on the plane to come home.

And the WW'ing Art exhibit in Hilo was smaller than anticipated, but still very cool. I'm including some photos - the work was done in native woods (Koa, Mango, Plumeria, Macadamia, Ohia, Kiawe, to name a few.) I brought home a couple pieces of Koa (~$24/bf), and one of Kiawe (~23/bf), to play with.

              Enjoy.
