....a particular piece of metal.
I need to support a section of subfloor that is about 18" long.
It is 3/4" particle board and I had to cut it back past the floor joist to get into the solid part. It had gotten wet. Now I have a section that has no support under it and I cannot go to the next floor joist because that us under the tub. I also cannot get to the area from underneath.
I know I saw, or maybe had at one time, a piece of metal that was offset by the thickness of the metal. I'm thinking that this would be a way to put a support under that section. Fitting it under the subfloor and then fastening the other side to the top of the floor joist. The cut back is right next to the joist, like the picture below.
Anyone know where to get such a piece of fmetal?
TIA, Salty
