Out of nowhere thunderstorm almost got my project

It was nice this morning so I setup on the back porch to spray shellac on the table top. I'd put down the second coat and went back inside for a couple hours to help LOML with house cleaning. I happened to look outside an hour later and there were very black clouds heading for us so I ran out and pulled the tabletop inside. thunderstorm hit about 10 minutes later.

I need to keep a better eye out for these hit and run thunderstorms we get here, that would have made me a bit unhappy had it rained on the project.

I spent some of my growing up years on the opposite Florida coast (Satellite Beach). Thunderstorms every afternoon between 2 and 4 PM. So regular you could set your watch by them.

This year, the regularity has returned with el nino giving us some serious wet weather! As a fellow TB area member, I will give smorris the tsk tsk.... woodworking always comes before housework! Just kidding, I am glad your table top did not get ruined, that would be a true waste. Hope to see pics of the top soon.
