    I heard him interviewed on Fresh Air. It is a very interesting concept, a little scary. There's already so much of "me" out there, on the web, in files somewhere.

    Interesting, but certainly not perfect. Some of the most powerful memories come from subconscious data we perceive and store without even noticing. Things like aromas and background sounds, textures, skin reactions, etc. And sometimes it is the combination of these stimuli that trigger the memory. Often, memories are given their "feeling" by an emotional reaction that can vary infinitely with the individual. Massive factual capacity and recall are possible, but even the most sophisticated computer is a poor functional substitute for the infinitely diverse human mind and spirit.

          Where the Red Green show was taped and Mann's parents home are within 5 miles of each other - that may explain the "separated at birth" resemblance!!

          I have known Mann since grade 3. He was a genius even then.
