      Here is a picture from my bike club collection. This bike was a Honda 750F. Three of us were riding on a back road pretty fast and this bike and rider was in the middle of 3-in-a row. He developed a shimmy, and went down and slid along the highway. Fortunately I missed hitting him or the bike. He was wearing a leather jacket, boots and a helmet.

      His helmet got ground down - almost through. His wallet in his back pocket got ground down wafer thin...which saved his butt. He wouldn't be here today if he wasn't wearing his helmet.
