Nah. I am staying inside tonight. I will be back at it tomorrow though.

Sorry to hear about your fall, David. Take it easy, and things should go a little better when you do get out there.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

Glad you're well enough to tell the tale.

I'm glad to hear you weren't seriously hurt. Best to stand down for a day and make sure no body parts were seriously damaged.

I had a ladder collapse because I had not checked to see that it was fully open and braced. Ladder was totalled but I wasn't hurt. Since I hate ladders to begin with, I've become even more paranoid about being on or using them.

            Glad to hear you're OK.

My father had a nasty fall about forty years ago when adding a dormer to the house. He was using an axe to knock out some temporary supports and fell through the stairway opening into the kitchen. The opening was half over the kitchen and half over the porch, with a wall about half halway betwixt. Fortunately he did not come down straddling the wall or he could have been nutted. Instead, he landed in a kitchen chair, with the axe smashing one of those plastic TV trays and shooting across the kitchen. He ended up with a nasty gash in his leg and he was sore for a bit, but otherwise OK. We teased him about his possible fate and my mother 'berated' him over breaking her favourite .99 TV tray. :-)

Good call to stay in, 'specially when the wife makes the call!
